[dancing naked to |chris liebing - dustmaster]

happy xmas everyone!

woo.. christmas eve has been fun and a half. made the most of the cheesiest club in sussex. seemed to bump into almost every girl i've ever been involved with (not many to be fair)... including the once love of my life i haven't seen for 4 years, who was looking (gut-wrenchingly) stunning, like lisa scott-lee's twin (sans precious fakeness of the real LSL). weirdness. another (geniune psycho who convinced me she was a pop singer, and would be supporting n*sync and could get my then band on the line up) is getting married.. good luck to the groom *screech screech screech* she's now a nurse *screech screech screech*

meh, okay thats enough for er..love life

other than that it was a lot of drinking and stupid dancing, crap music and tinsel. big family xmas jive tomorrow.

in other news:

driving test failed, rebooked for friday 13th

new years eve gonna be good, even though it might involve my awful djing

work dilema

update properly soon

[dancing naked to |steve thomas - fish grooves vol. 1]

i guess i've been fairly proactive about things since my last entry -

i decided that the gym wasn't worthy of my money quite yet, instead i devised my own home routine, which i've been sticking to religiously over the last month or so. it involves chairs, ladders, a 3.5 stone rucksack and the determination of a saint. i'm not quite sure what i'm hoping to achieve out of it, but the whole process is suprisingly theraputic. i seem to be putting on muscle, so i guess thats a nice by-product.

driving lessons were however deemed worthy of my money, and i've been having four hours a week in hope of passing my test as soon as i can. i still kinda suck, but this time i'm going to see it through to the end.

work- we're probably earning minimum wage for the hours we put in - which isn't great, but i still think there is potential. kinda annoyingly (for me) most of that money is coming as a result of work i'm doing.. ammo's graphics skills are excellent, but as yet, we haven't found a lucrative market for that. would be nice if we could fix that.

but anyway, we're getting more organised now.. ammo is working 9ish-5 at our office (which we share with another larger company under an arrangement of doing a couple of days of work per month for them), while i work most days from home. the more i think about it, the more i realise networking will be the key to our success. easier said than done though, especially as neither of us are particularly charistmatic.

I made my first venture up to the office on Friday, and took a couple of pics picsCollapse )

social life round here is kinda dead, although i'm making weekly trips out to various places to try and achieve some kind of human contact.

This weekend I went out in Kingston with Ammo, his brother- big Amo (damn iranian names), and a friend of theirs called Paul. Paul and myself were twins for the night as we were both of the same aerian looks, and Ammo and Amo were brothers because, well, that was the reality of the situation. We figured we could beat the pub queue system by ordering 34 shots of vodka, 2 pints of coke, and 2 empty pint glasses. So we did just that. It was actually quite an effective technique. Anyway, after the pub had closed there was a party -

Myth: These girls are having a party, and they need more boys to come as it's all girls. Reality: 6 girls, 30 guys.

And then, very shortly after that, we ended up in the local indie club, which was suprisingly packed. I think I was pretending to be a Skype phone salesman. Anyways, was fun, and junk. I managed to avoid 'free-running' on the way home this time, so my body is still intact.

[dancing naked to |henrik b - wound]

well.. there was a week which i have almost no recollection of. i'm not even sure if i left the house. decided i was heading into dangerous recluse territory, so went out last night to the local village o' fun. hit the pub, then played cards till the early hours. made about £30 over the course of the evening thanks to my machine-like poker skills.

november shall be a month to remember though.

--

during the days i've been working. sort of. work could be better. kinda still feels like we're just playing at it. haha actually until i give Inland Revenue a call, i think we technically are just playing at it.. and breaking the law perhaps.

we're making money. but not enough. need to shift up a gear. or find a better boss. it might just be that i'm lacking enough executive toys to properly motivate me.

anyhoo.. that's boring.

--

music is on the up at the moment - a track i did with rodi style and dan dyson in august has been signed to a new san jose based hard house label.

here's a little video clip of rodi playing the track out in calgary on the weekend (sound quality ain't great, but looks like a fun night)

also, managed to finish another track last weekend... have only given it to a few djs, but had really good response so far. a couple of them play london clubs regularly, so will try and catch at least one of them in the next month. also rodi is gonna do a remix of the track.. wooo!

so thats my music quota for the next eight months

--

oh, and god.. my msn is entirely retarded. but i think everyone i speak to already knows that. i think the same applies for the other similar programs i've tried. i'm working on an alternative system involving post-it notes and mirrors.

[dancing naked to |of montreal - the sunlandic twins bonus ep]

yesterday was funner

andy and tom actually left their precious brighton and had a waltz round east grinstead with me. we went round our old spots, and got shouted at by a caretaker for loitering round our old high school. good times.

then, back to brighton - checked out andy's new flat - trés à la mode - sara-lea joined us for a meal, and then over to tom's for a few drinks, via a pub feat. a soul-less singer with his acoustic guitar, destoying smiths songs.

next, was me dragging tom to a hard house night where a friend of mine was DJing. [andy unfortunately departed at this point due to flashbacks/paranoia/ general terror he keeps getting. hope he gets over that soon, sounded pretty nasty.]

was quite a bizzare little venue - the uber psychedelic downstairs room thumpin out the hard house, while upstairs a salsa night was in full swing. the combination of relative sobriety and the thigh-stroking advances on tom of a girl he deemed too "working class" meant we didn't quite last till the end of the night, but i got in a good dance, and tom admitted to quite enjoying the music.

we then made our way to a house warming party where we were welcomed by an awesome rant from tom's flatmate chris about how people are letting the "tiny dogs die" (?) which was delivered with such passion it eventually caused him to fall over. if the kaiser chiefs had been approaching the party, they certainly would have "predicted a riot" (wtf am i talking about?), but anyways, was fun, people, stuff, etc.

on the way back from the party i was impressing tom with my parkour skills. unfortunately i misjudged a standard pillar-plant leaving me flat on the pavement with a broken watch. hurrah!

Our greatest glory is not in falling but in rising every time we fall - Confucius(blood not to scale)

haha it's funny, increasingly the main symptom of my hangovers is just retardedness.. i'll just sit and stare at something and forget what the hell i'm doin...

[feeling a bit |happyhappy]
[dancing naked to |ddr + the geezer - suicide raving]

the weather in sussex right now is perfect. i can usually find something wrong with the weather. but seriously, this is perfect. which is strange for an october - looks like we get cut a break on the way to the planet's eventual downfall.

i decided to take a walk over to my old primary school and surrounding areas (it's a weekend so this is not paedocreepy)... very fucking weird going back there. it's only about five minutes from my house, but i haven't been around there for about a decade. school is still there.. looks smaller than i remember. saw the street i named as a kid ("badger way" - i wish i'd suggested a better name, like "doublefox crescent"), some woodland, some mushrooms that probably weren't magic... hell, i saw a lot of stuff, and mostly things that don't sound interesting when written here.

tom and andy should be popping over soon (you better not stand me up guys), and then i dunno.. pub? party? clubbing? brighton? london? east-fucking-grinstead?

i should probably go outside again.
